Good to know
Use card prices the smart way
Estimates, not offers
Values come from recent market data. What a buyer pays still depends on demand, the platform and fees.
Condition moves the price
Whitening, scratches and bends lower value. The condition shown is an AI estimate, not an official grade.
Check before grading
Use Rarefolio to shortlist cards worth grading, then compare graded sales before paying grading fees.
FAQ
Questions about scanning cards
What is Rarefolio?
Rarefolio (TCG Card Scanner – Rarefolio) is a trading card scanner and price checker for iPhone and iPad. Take a photo of a card and it identifies the card and shows an estimated market value, its rarity, card number and other details.
How do I find out what my cards are worth?
Open Rarefolio, scan the card with the camera or choose a photo, and the app returns an estimated market value with price sources such as eBay, TCGplayer and Cardmarket. Save the card to a collection to see your total collection value.
Which card games does it support?
Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece Card Game, Disney Lorcana, sports cards and other trading card games.
Where do the prices come from?
Estimates are based on recent market data and listings from marketplaces such as eBay, TCGplayer and Cardmarket. You can open matching listings to compare prices yourself.
How accurate are the card values?
They are market estimates, not guaranteed sale prices. Value depends on condition, print, language and demand. For expensive cards, compare recent sold listings for the same condition or grade before you buy or sell.
Can it grade my cards?
Rarefolio shows an AI estimate of a card's condition to help you decide what to do next. It is not an official grade from PSA, BGS or CGC.
Is the card scanner free?
Rarefolio is free to download and includes a free trial of Premium. An optional subscription unlocks unlimited scans; see the App Store listing for current pricing in your country.
Does it work in my language?
Yes. Rarefolio runs on iPhone and iPad and is available in 33 languages.
