One Piece Card Rarity Guide: C, UC, R, SR, SEC, L, SP and More

One Piece Card Game rarities explained: what C, UC, R, SR, SEC, L, SP, P and treasure rare mean, how to spot alt arts and manga rares, and the card code format.

By Ayoub Farid · · 2 min read

Every One Piece card shows its rarity as a short code in the bottom right corner, next to the card number. Here's what each code means and how alternate versions fit in.

Reading the card code

Example: OP05-119 SEC

  • OP05: set (Booster Pack 05). Other prefixes: ST starter deck, EB extra booster, PRB premium booster, P promo
  • 119: card number
  • SEC: rarity

Alternate arts and manga rares

These don't always have their own code: an alternate art of an SR is still marked SR, with the same card number. Tell them apart by:

  • Different artwork, often extending beyond the normal frame
  • Special foil and texture
  • A small star or mark on some parallel versions
  • Manga rares: character art over black-and-white manga panels

Leaders

Leader cards (L) start each deck and have a red, green, blue, purple, black or yellow color. Leader alt arts are popular with players and collectors.

DON!! cards

DON!! cards are the game's resource cards. Most are basic, but special DON!! cards with character art from certain products are collectible.

Pull rates

Bandai doesn't publish exact pull rates, so collector estimates vary by set. As a rule of thumb, packs contain mostly commons and uncommons, a rare or better in a set slot, and SECs, alt arts and manga rares appear far less often, with manga rares the hardest to find in sets that have them. Read pull rates explained for how to think about odds without overspending on packs.

Rarity and value

Higher rarity usually means higher value, but the character and art version matter more. A popular character's alt art SR can outsell an unpopular SEC. See One Piece cards worth money.
